DONOFRIO's BIO... David Donofrio is from Dublin, OH and is 19 years old. He has always been in choirs throughout his life, and was the lead in a 3rd grade musical about Santa Claus pursuing a musical dream (he was Santa, of course!). Ever since elementary school, David has written and performed all types of music. He began in a summertime pop-rock band with a couple friends, a band that lasted several years and launched an interest in writing pop music (he wrote or co-wrote nearly every song). He had early interests in smooth jazz as well, for its soothing melodies. By middle school, David had discovered the real stars of popular music, listening to Britney Spears, N'Sync, and the like. It was these early-teenage years that started David performing his pop songs at school dances and a talent show. High School brought singing from the schoolbus to the classroom, and David continued his writing. He also began writing some of his music on the staff. With the help of his choir teacher, he composed his first 4-part song in his second year. He performs at least once on stage annually. The rest is history. David hopes to try out for Fox's American Idol or to land a record contract soon. His first CD was shared in 2002-03 (one could say, accidentally, lol), so his response #12 has been released!
